CAMPING LE RUISSEAU

Le Ruisseau is a top quality family-run holiday parc and one of the liveliest ones in south west France. Situated in a superb location at the foot of the Pyrenees, it is located near the fashionable holiday resort of Biarritz (3km), in the heart of the Basque country, close to the wonderful surfing beaches of the South West Atlantique coast. The parc boasts a fantastic pool complex incorporating huge waterslides, a jacuzzi, sauna and sun terrace. There is also a large indoor pool ideal for early and late season holidays or fitness swimming. Sports facilities are excellent with tennis courts and a gymnasium.

Le Ruisseau is a member of the highly accredited ‘Castels Camping Chain’. Members must display the highest level of facilities and standards.

The holiday parc also boasts two lakes, which can be used for canoeing or fishing. Emplacements are quite large and offer some degree of shade.

Live evening entertainment and outdoor discos are provided in July and August. The bar is lively throughout the season and also has a large screen television on the terrace.

Le Ruisseau is situated close to the Basque town of Bidart. It is only a short drive to good beaches and many restaurants and bars in Biarritz and St. Jean de Luz. The ‘Centre Plage’ beach in Biarritz is sandy and its big rolling waves make it especially good for body surfing and surfing, always popular with the teenagers.

Le Ruisseau offers a variety of activities for the family both on and off the holiday parc. There is so much to do and see in this area that many customers have commented that two weeks holiday was not long enough!

BAYONNE The capital of the Basque region is only 10km from Le Ruisseau and offers some excellent shopping. Bayonne has a lovely cathedral and interesting Basque museum, where one can discover the local history.  

THE PYRENNES NATIONAL PARK is within an hours drive and covers 286 square miles.  

ST. JEAN PIED DE PORT sits high in the Pyrenees and looks back across the South West Coastline, and boasts magnificent views.  

ST JEAN DE LUZ Just 15 km from the Spanish border, this charming fishing port with a beautiful beach, provides a lovely day out.  

SPAIN: You can travel to Spain in less than an hour. St Sebastian is the nearest Spanish city and just a little further is the wonderful modern city of Bilbao, not forgetting the ‘duty free’ towns at the border which offer exceptional value for alcohol and tobacco. Finally a must for the children is the awesome waterparc at Seignosse.
