There are over 140 kilometres of sandy beaches in the Vendee region of France with Sol a Gogo and Le Clarys Plage in the middle. Along with the amazing beaches and the fact that the Vendee is the second sunniest part of France, this attracts visitors from all over the world. These glorious sandy beaches are known for their cleanliness and most have achieved blue flags. A range of activities are enjoyed on these beaches including surfing, kite flying, kayaking, beach volleyball and many more fun things to do. Many of the seaside towns in the Vendee boost a range of summer entertainment on the beaches and the nearby streets, with Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez and Saint-Jean-de-Monts being some of the most popular resorts that offer breath taking beaches to enjoy.
